Castlethorn facilitated the creation of a thriving new neighbourhood at Belarmine through a programme of major physical infrastructure works. The development includes 962 new homes, along with a range of commercial and recreational facilities.
Belarmine is a thriving new neighbourhood situated at the edge of Stepaside village in Dublin 18. Castlethorn facilitated the development – and the creation of 962 new homes – by carrying out large-scale infrastructural works and innovative flood management schemes in the area.
To support the mix of low-, medium- and high-density residential accommodation on site, all essential services were put in place, along with a range of social spaces, and retail and leisure facilities.
Major physical infrastructure included the undergrounding of ESB lines, the construction of a main distributor road and the establishment of flood attenuation parkland. Castlethorn also delivered a purpose-built creche, a community centre and fully serviced sites for two schools, in addition to 18 commercial units and a variety of outdoor play areas.
